This event is part of the New Manhood series, in which we explore the many layers of the male-socialised experience as it is shaped through upbringing, biology, and cultural expectation. To read more about the concept, ideology and choice of words, go to the bottom of this page. Grief changes the landscape of our lives. When grief enters our lives, the world keeps turning, even as our own world may feel as though it has come to a standstill. In time, we slowly begin to find our footing in a landscape forever changed—not by leaving love behind, but by allowing it to take a different shape. Whether returning or joining for the first time, grief often has many layers and many parts of our hearts and souls can grieve. This workshop is an invitation to deepen your relationship with grief. Not as something to overcome or rush through, but as a natural expression of love and the many ways our lives are touched by change, loss, and longing. Through embodied practice, reflective inquiry, and genuine connection, we open space for grief to be met with compassion rather than resistance. We'll discover how grief shapes our hearts, our relationships, and our experience of the world—and what becomes possible when we stop asking when grief will end and begin listening to what it asks of us. Growing with grief isn't about forgetting or moving on. It's about discovering new ways to carry love with us as life continues to unfold. As we gently make room for both sorrow and joy, we may begin to recognise that grief is not asking us to let go of love, but to discover a new way of carrying it. Come exactly as you are. Leave with a gentler relationship to your grief, and discover what becomes possible when love is given the freedom to take a new shape. WHO IS THIS FOR? Curious, caring and compassionate male-born humans. CAN I JOIN AS A BEGINNER? Absolutely! The only prior experience required is growing up in a male body. You can join the individual workshop or the entire Manhood-series. DO I NEED A PARTNER? No partners required, you can come solo, with a friend or brother. The exercises are practical, physical, and hands-on. You’ll be encouraged to step in with openness and curiosity, working with different people in a variety of combinations. Together, we’ll co-create in a fluid, collective experience that invites courage, play, and connection. DRESSCODE You can wear whatever comfortable clothing that you can move around freely in. Be aware that this workshop can get heated, literally. WHAT TO BRING Your wonderful self, an open heart, a water bottle with lid and perhaps a journal and pen for writing down reminders and revelations that maybe come up. ABOUT THE MANHOOD SERIES My mission is to create spaces where male-born humans can rediscover the parts of themselves they were taught to silence. I believe we all carry deep tenderness, intuition, creativity, desire, grief, humor, and an immense capacity for love. Too often, these qualities stay hidden because of inherited stories about what strength, emotion, and vulnerability are supposed to look like. I support cis-men and male-born non-binary people in feeling without shame, speaking without fear, listening without defensiveness, and setting boundaries without guilt. I help them embody anger without harm and experience connection without collapsing or hardening. This work is not about perfection, but presence; not about performing strength, but embodying it. Each workshop in the Manhood series stands on its own, offering a specific entry point into personal growth and embodied connection. Taken together, they form a rich journey – one that moves from brotherhood to embodiment, from communication to compassion, from guardedness to genuine openness. This is an invitation to grow, to feel, to laugh, and to remember what it means to be fully human – together.
