DESCENT II — Collective Suffering
A Guided Group BDSM Experience
What happens when suffering is no longer something to avoid, but something we consciously enter together? There is eroticism in remaining open while exposed to others. Eroticism in being witnessed while vulnerable. Eroticism in offering your body into sensation and discovering that you can stay present there - held by the collective
Across spiritual traditions, humans have long used discomfort as a doorway into altered states of awareness. Through fasting, silence, exhaustion, pilgrimage, ritual, prayer, cold, repetition, and ordeal, people have sought encounters with themselves beyond comfort and control. Not because suffering is holy in itself, but because intensity has the power to strip away illusion. It reveals where we resist, where we contract, where we cling and where we may become softer, more open, more honest, and more alive than we imagined.
This workshop explores BDSM in that lineage: as a conscious practice of presence through sensation, surrender, trust, and intensity.
In this sense, BDSM can become a spiritual practice of resilience, as the capacity to remain open in moments of challenge. To soften when the instinct is to contract. To stay connected to oneself, to another person, to the group and to the body while moving through discomfort.
PROGRAM
1. Landing together, creating a vibe of slow, collective eroticism
2. Exercises to practice individually how to stay open and present while suffering
3. Group work where each decide how they want to suffer and who will be their helpers
4. We co-create a slow, beautiful and vulnerable space of collective suffering and witnessing
5. We end with aftercare, sharing and saying goodbye
Strong attention is given to consent and care. You are supported through clear methods and frameworks that allow you to engage as deeply as feels right for you, without compromising your boundaries. We move slowly, consciously, and with deep attention to attunement, aftercare, and nervous system regulation.
A person who learns to breathe through discomfort and arousal may also learn to breathe through grief.
A person who experiences surrender safely may stop fighting themselves so fiercely outside the dungeon. A person who feels held while vulnerable may remember that resilience is not something we build alone.
WHO IS THIS FOR?
For those curious about:
• taking their play into collective settings with stronger focus on ritual and visual expression
• BDSM dynamics (dominance, submission, control, surrender)
• conscious pain play as embodied and emotional exploration
• group-based exploration rather than private scenes
• using the body as both sensory and artistic material
• the intersection between BDSM, spirituality, performance, and resilience
For advanced practitioners and newcomers alike. You do not need experience, but you should feel genuinely open to exploring sensation, vulnerability, power, surrender, and connection with others.
CAN I JOIN AS A BEGINNER?
Yes.
To participate, we recommend that you have some familiarity with boundaries and consent — both your own and others’. You do not need prior BDSM experience, but it is important that you feel curious about exploring states of surrender, discomfort, exposure, and collective intensity.
You will be guided step by step through consent, structure, communication, and exercises in a carefully held environment.
DO I NEED A PARTNER?
You can come alone, in pairs or as a group.
The exercises are often practical, physical, and hands-on. You’ll be invited to work with different people in various combinations throughout the workshop, giving you the chance to co-create in a fluid, collective experience.

ABOUT THE FACILITATORS
Anso’s (she/her) current artistic work develops spaces where power, intimacy and desire can be explored with awareness and intention. She creates immersive formats where BDSM practice becomes both artistic material and relational inquiry.
Alongside this, her curatorial work operates across larger cultural frameworks, shaping international collaborations and platforms that examine how art and culture can influence perception, contribute to structural change, and foster connectedness in a fragmented world.
Jac Fabian (he/him) is an experienced rope bondage and kink practitioner who’s been teaching and facilitating for more than a decade. His focus is the meeting point of perversion, power dynamics, aesthetics, group facilitation and co-creation processes, artistic experimentation, and consciousness. Jac is the founder and director of House of Play. He has performed in Tokyo, at The Danish Royal Theatre and many other kink and art venues.
