Zandora Consumer Insights · Cross-Category Preference Study 2027
A structured at-home study with around 100 experienced female sex-toy users, 7 stimulation categories and 14 products. Every tester uses 7 to 8 products across categories, so you learn not just how your product performs, but how preference for it relates to preference for other types of stimulation.
You already choose products with category experience, sales history, buyer knowledge, supplier relationships and price-point logic. That works, and this study does not replace it.
But a large share of what consumers really think still arrives after a product has been sourced, stocked and launched. The market becomes the test, and it is an expensive one: development, packaging, purchasing and launch costs are already spent by the time the answer comes in. A winner gets reordered. A miss gets cleared and discontinued.
Zandora moves part of that answer earlier. Instead of only asking what sold, the study asks who actually likes this type of product, why they like it, which characteristics drive that, and what else the same consumers prefer. The result is structured consumer evidence sitting next to your own judgement, before the bigger commitments are made.
The goal is not to eliminate trial and error. It is to make every trial better informed.
Real experiences from women who used your product at home: quotes, user stories, usage situations and the language consumers naturally reach for. Use is subject to agreed rights.
How consumers perceive the product, which benefits matter, recurring strengths and weaknesses, who responds positively and who does not, and what that means for positioning and communication.
Consumer-led development feedback: performance, usability, comfort, ergonomics, shape, materials, controls, charging, cleaning, recurring problems and improvement opportunities.
New in this study. Because each tester uses products from several categories, you see how preference for your product relates to preference for other stimulation types, and which product characteristics sit behind it.
If a consumer likes your product, what else is she likely to like?
Close to 4,000 vetted Zandora testers.
We do not recruit 100 available people. We select the right 100 for the research question, using sex-toy experience, category experience, age, reliability and completion history.
Register interestWomen, 18 and over, with medium-to-high sex-toy experience and prior experience with at least 3 of the 7 categories. Selected from Zandora's tester community.
This is a deliberate research population, not a representative sample of all women.
Vulval and vaginal stimulation only. Male and anal products are not part of this programme. App and remote control is recorded as a product feature, not as a category.
One product cannot represent a whole category. With two, we can start separating preference for a specific product from preference for the stimulation type. If both products in a category behave alike, the pattern is stronger. If they behave differently, you learn that two products in the same nominal category are not interchangeable, which is useful in itself.
Testers rate why: intensity, focused versus broad stimulation, vibration character, pressure, fullness, firmness, shape, size, fit, comfort, controls and material feel. That is what turns a preference pattern into a development brief.
Packages are fixed at 1, 3, 5 or 7 products. Products are supplied by the partner.
