Rope Jam (free for members, 130 kr for non-members)

Rope Jams are all about playing with ropes. Whether you want to practise your skills, tie seductive rope sessions, or have your very first rope experience, you are welcome to join this space. We aim to create a warm, inclusive, and connected space in which we can all explore and play with the vast landscape of ropes from meditative self ties to advanced and elaborate sequences. Each facilitator brings their own energy to the jam, through mood, music, and playfulness. The doors to the rope space open just before 19.00 for a non-verbal soft landing in the space and at 19.00 we meet in an opening circle where the facilitator will begin with a short landing exercise and then share the rules of the space, before opening the space up for tying. We recommend joining the opening for a more connected space, but you are allowed to show up later. WHO IS THIS FOR? Rope Jams are open to everyone with an interest in ropes, from seasoned experts to the new and curious. After the opening circle, the facilitator will be available for questions about ropes and assistance to get you started, however this is not a formal lesson, just some help for those who need it. CAN I JOIN AS A BEGINNER? Absolutely! You need no prior rope experience to join the jam, you are allowed to just watch, get inspired and ask questions. For those new to ropes who want to learn, we encourage you to join our Ropes for Absolute Beginners the first Monday of each month or Rope for Beginners the second Thursday of each month. We also have ongoing Rope Courses at various levels DO I NEED A PARTNER? You are very welcome to join alone, with a partner, or in a group. There are often people attending rope jams who are open to tying with new people, so there is always the possibility to meet someone to tie with, however there is no guarantee you will find someone to tie with each time. DRESSCODE Whatever is comfortable for you to move and tie in. WHAT TO BRING We recommend bringing your own ropes, however we do have some ropes that can be borrowed.
