Rope Bondage - Beginners Course (couple ticket 2480 kr for members, 3100 kr for non-members)

Learn to create intimate, beautiful, spicy, and transformative experiences with ropes    This course is a great way to start your journey with Japanese Rope Bondage, also called Shibari or Kinbaku. We will focus on the features that make Japanese bondage such an intimate, sensual, beautiful, and sometimes transformative experience between two people.   We will dive into:   - Intimacy and non-verbal communication through ropes - Aesthetics and the beauty of rope bondage - The dynamics of power and surrender - Polarity and presence - Safety, consent, and being confident in communicating your boundaries   You will learn all the basic techniques you need to play with bondage in a safe way - and to prepare you for learning more advanced rope play in the future if you want to do that.    WHO IS THIS FOR This is a beginner’s course, so you need no prior experience in Japanese Rope Bondage. If you have some experience but need to make sure your technical skills for learning to do suspensions are in place, or you want a deeper understanding of how you can play and connect through ropes, this is also a great course for you. The course is for all genders and sexual orientations. If in doubt, contact us for more information. If everyone in the course speaks Danish, we will do that, otherwise we'll speak English.   Please note: You need to sign up as a couple, where one is being tied and the other ties, throughout the course. That’s because we want to prepare you for being able to do suspensions, which requires a certain level of technical understanding on how to tie and to be tied in a safe way.   If you want to join, but don’t have a rope partner, contact us and maybe we can help.   TIME Every other Wednesday (even weeks) at 19.00-21.30 10 classes from Jan 21st to May 27, 2026 On April 20th the Beginner course and the Suspension Basics course will go out for dinner together and join the House of Play Rope Jam afterwards. Optional of course and at your own expense. PLACE House of Play, Shetlandsgade 3, 1, 2300 Copenhagen S WHAT TO BRING Bring a least five ropes of app. 8 meters x 6 mm, made from jute. Contact us for advice on where to buy good rope. Wear clothes you feel comfortable in and that you can move freely in.   TICKETS Couple ticket for members of House of Play: 2.480 kr. Couple ticket non-members: 3.100 kr. Low income/student ticket: 2.480 kr (please write to us on info@houseofplay.dk). Tickets are non-refundable, but we are glad to help you sell your ticket if you cannot participate anyway. TEACHERS Jac Fabian (he/him) has many years of experience in Japanese Rope Bondage and in teaching all levels from beginners to very advanced bondage classes, with a focus on presence, deep polarization and connection, dominance, surrender and aesthetics. He has learned from many of the best teachers in Japan and Europe and has been invited to perform in Tokyo, at The Royal Theatre in Copenhagen and many other places. Jac Fabian also teaches various other aspects of kink and is the founder of House of Play. Rob (she/her) is into kink and both tying and being tied. Her flavour of ropes involves movement, dance, play wrestling, sensuality, connection, and exploring how to express these themes within power dynamics.
