What happens when men gather to dance, paint on each other's bodies and surrender to sensual touch - without clothes and without reservation?
The upcoming weekend workshop "Tantric Freedom and Fun" aims to answer that question. Behind the initiative is Jacob from Tantra4Men, who has been working with tantric communities for men for several years. He experiences a growing longing among men for spaces where they can be vulnerable and sensual - without pressure to perform.
"We create a safe and playful space where men can be naked without having to perform. It's not about looking a certain way, but about feeling themselves and each other with respect and curiosity" says Jacob.
This weekend's program is anything but traditional. There are no PowerPoints or group work. Instead, participants are invited into the body through touch, movement and sensory play. One of the highlights is the oil workshop with Thomas Dehn, where participants - wearing swimming trunks - surrender to warm hands and hot oil. The eyes are blindfolded and the body is allowed to take control in an intense and healing experience.
Later in the day, the journey continues with intuitive dance. Blindfolded, participants are given the opportunity to let go of control and let their body move freely. The dance allows direct contact with the body's impulses and often creates a surprising presence.
A more playful, but no less powerful exercise is the ritual of Adoration. Here, participants decorate each other's naked bodies with body paint and have the opportunity to honor, admire and explore each other's bodies through creativity and contact. The exercise provokes both laughter and reflection - and creates space to be seen and appreciated without expectations.
For those who want to explore the more intense, the weekend also offers flogging and sensation play. The focus is on safety, trust and consent - and how intensity and pleasure can go hand in hand. It's an opportunity to test how it feels to surrender to someone else - or to take responsibility and lead.
"We invite men to feel their body, their desire and their sensitivity - without shame and without having to cover anything up. There's room for the vulnerable, the strong and the naughty" Jacob explains.
The workshop is for men of all ages and backgrounds who want to explore their sensuality and masculine energy. Whether you're new to the world of tantra or experienced, there's room to learn and play.
During the weekend, participants change partners regularly, so everyone has the opportunity to mirror themselves in different bodies, energies and expressions. This creates both security and variety - and emphasizes that there is no one right way to be a man.
Participants learn specific techniques from tantra massage and work with ecstatic touch - touch that can make the whole body vibrate. And towards the end, it's all about the art of seduction. How do you flirt with the body? How do you invite others into an intimate encounter - whether it's with a girlfriend, on a date or in a more playful context?
The workshop is not sexual in the traditional sense, but it constantly moves in the borderland between the sensual and the erotic. It allows participants to experience what happens when they let go of preconceptions and enter a space where the body - and not the mind - is allowed to lead.
"Tantric Freedom and Fun is not a party. It's not a course. It's an experience. A play. A journey back to the body - and further out into real contact with other men.
